Rebecca Haydon

Teacher & CHOREOGRAPHER

Rebecca has been involved in musical theatre for many years as a performer, choreographer and director.

During her training, Rebecca was dance captain for several dance performances; for her final showcase, Rebecca auditioned and played the leading lady Lucille Frank in Jason Robert Brown's 'Parade'.

During her training and since graduating, Rebecca has taught dance and theatre to children both at school and at dance schools including Stage Schools such as Italia Conti. For many years, Rebecca was Choreographer of Impulse Productions where she has choreographed musicals including All Shook Up, Parade, Rent and In the Heights.

After graduating from London Studio Centre with a BA Hons in Theatre Dance, Rebecca was signed by a London agent. She appeared in her first professional role touring with a production of Chess The Musical.

Subsequently, Rebecca has worked as the Lead Vocalist on A Night at The Musicals and was Resident Director for Sensatori Hotels. Rebecca completed a professional role as Ensemble/ Female Swing with the cast of TOMMY the Musical in Blackpool with Joe McElderry and Antony Costa.

Rebecca joined the dance team at TACT in 2015 and was appointed Head of Dance in 2016, where she has led a significant development of the department. Rebecca will be leaving the UK and travelling to Australia in January 2019 but will remain as an associate of The Arts Centre Telford and will offer workshops and additional tuition when she is in the UK.
