In Concert is a unique musical theatre opportunity, allowing us to perform songs from productions we may not otherwise be able to perform as full musicals. This is the fifth time that we will be putting together this incredible concert. The first was performed at the Old Hall School, the second livestreamed from locations throughout Shropshire during lockdown, before we returned for the last two years to our performance home, The Centenary Theatre, where we will be returning next year to start our 2024 season.

This time, it’s In Concert Through the Ages. In this new production, we will be telling the story of the development of Musical Theatre from its early years, through the Golden Age, the great 70’s and 80’s, right up to modern day. You can expect to sing a variety of songs, with lots of ensemble work, some solos and smaller groups too, all put together by Aaron Prior and Jack Pierce.

As with our previous versions of In Concert, it’s not just about the singing, but the production too, and you can expect more glorious lighting and sound design from our resident team.
Previous concerts included songs from Chicago, Matilda, Dear Evan Hanson, Come From Away, Anastasia, Working, Something Rotten!, School of Rock, Company and When Midnight Strikes, to name just a few, and not forgetting all of the movie musical songs from last year!
