Lois Walker
DIRECTOR OF DANCE
Lois is an experienced dance teacher having taught all disciplines of dance at several schools in the Midlands. Lois began her formal dance training at the age of 4. Her love of dance and the performing arts blossomed and following successful completion of her own graded dance training, she knew that she had become inspired to pass on the art of dance to others.
Knowing that she wanted to teach, Lois began her teaching qualifications with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) for tap and modern theatre dance.
With more than a decade’s experience leading dance studios, Lois thoroughly enjoys teaching students of all ages through open classes, performance routines and bespoke one-to-one tuition. Her educational philosophy is centred around helping every young person to become the best dancer that they can be.
Lois is proud to be a member of Team TACT and has seen the dance department grow and thrive under her leadership as Head of Dance since 2020. Lois has choreographed productions for The Arts Centre Telford and has seen her festival dance choreography receive critical acclaim as TACT dancers have achieved success at several festivals in recent years.
