TEACHER OF SINGING

Steph was a vocal coach with The Arts Centre from 2011, when TACT first began its vocal education programme. She first studied Popular Music at the University of Chester, and later moved to London to study Music Education. As well as singing, Steph teaches woodwind, music theory, and (occasionally) ESOL. An experienced performer, she has taken lead roles in several musical theatre productions, including many with VIP, TACT's flagship performance outlet. As a professional singer, Steph often performs at corporate events, festivals, weddings and for recordings.

With a high energy and eclectic approach to teaching, Steph encourages students to find the same enjoyment through music and performance that she does. Steph now has a decade of outstanding examination results to her name and her vocal teaching timetable continues to grow by popular demand.

Between 2015 and 2021, Steph taught Music and Performing Arts at Brownhills Ormiston Academy. She also taught singing at Hadley Learning Community and Wrekin College.

Steph was the Musical Director for the TACT Choir, which made its debut performance early in the Autumn Term 2015 and has gone on to perform at competitions and festivals. The youth choir is a firm favourite at the annual Christmas concert. Steph was a membership of the leadership team The Arts Centre Telford, coordinating the timetable, calendar, examinations and choirs.

After a decade with TACT, Steph has now relocated to Mid Wales, where her family are the proud owners of The Lost Arc, an arts café and music venue in Rhayader. Be sure to visit them at thelostarc.co.uk to find out more. We look forward to continuing to work with Steph in the future!
