Alice Doodson

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

DESIGNATED SAFEGUARDING LEAD

Alice originally pursued Art & Design Crafts at college, before re-training in Early Years Education. Alice then went on to graduate with a BA (Hons) in Education.

Alice has worked with children and young people for the last sixteen years. Initially employed at Dothill Out of Hours Childcare and then at Dothill Primary School, Alice moved to work for the Local Authority in 2017. For Telford & Wrekin Council, Alice was a Family Connect Advisor as part of the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub for several years before moving to the Early Help team as a Strengthening Families Practitioner. Alice is a knowledgeable safeguarding professional with experience of strategic multi-agency and interdisciplinary working.

Alice is a soprano and has sung all her life. Alice performs with Voices in Partnership and is no stranger to the stage, having played Jack’s Mother in Into The Woods, Sue in A Slice of Saturday Night, and Julie Johnston in Bad Girls the Musical, to name but a few. Alice is looking forward to returning to the stage in the TACT Christmas Concert in December 2024.

Alice joins the leadership team at TACT in September 2024 as Assistant Director. Alice will be TACT’s new Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), alongside a wider leadership portfolio, which includes site management and member experience development.
